Default 92 accord coup auto

I am new to the site and have been reading a few posts all of which have very informative. So now i wonder if it is possible for me to inquire about an issue that my daughter is having with her accord. It seems that the engine is getting hot. And once it does (after a short drive, less than 5 mins) if she turns the car off and runs into a store or somthing and comes out a couple mins later the car wont start. Is there a sensor that kills all the power to the car if its too hot?

Well, the over heating is the first thing I would worry with.

However, your posts seems like you are not really sure if it is . Where is the temp gauge reading, is it loosing coolant, do both cooling fans work?
