B18c cams in b16a2 cams not lining up with TDC
Hi iv got a b16a2 I lined up on top dead centre on the bottom pulley and on the camshafts the lines were lining up good, then I took the belt off and I put b18c cams in my friend was ******* around with something unsure what but now the cams are off by half a tooth off, had anyone had this issue and know how to fix this as my cars not letting me rev more then 1500 and I can't do more then 10 mph, I'm unsure how to get the cams to line up so it runs :/
Take it apart and redo the timing. Dont keep driving it or you might bend your valves.
If the head or block is milled you might need to get adjustable cam gears or play with the cams some more.

Hi guys this is a pick from a guys old post my cams sit the same his car was having same issues but it turned out his dizzy was damaged mines fine as it look brand new lol but yh my cams aren't sitting right unsure why when I tuck the a2 cams out they were sitting good but my mate messed with em so not sure what to do

Is it worth putting the a2 cam gears in the b18c cams? I'm totally confused with this :/ I wish I new what my mate exactly did to **** this up :/
There should be holes in the cams behind the cam gears
You need to put a punch or anything that will fir snug in there to hold the cams in place as you put the belt on.

I can get cams to line like that yes but then the cams won't sit properly as iv moved them won't that damage the cams or valves ??
They sell a tool for cam gear adjustment and timing belt installation, put the cam gears even slip the tool on between the gears to hold them in place and wrap the belt on.
The cam gears are not lined up properly.
