CRX VIN identification

I'm duped...
So I know I have an ED9 with a D16A9 engine, with sunroof, but no power steering.
However, I try to check my VIN and it cannot be identified.
Checksum error it claims...
I would like to know more about my car, what trim is it, etc...

any ideas??

its not a US vehicle.

the 10th digit cant be a Zero. thats whats throwing it off.

Yes, it is not a US vehicle, cos I am not in US.
You are right, the 10th digit is the one causing the problem, as it is not the correct checksum digit..
