Hello everyone, this is my first Honda, a 1997 Civic Cx Hatch. The car came with a c-pillar bar uninstalled. The previous owner said its a Skunk 2. I am having trouble installing it, my bar seems like it is too long. Does anyone have a picture of how to mount the brackets to the seat belt bolts? Are they supposed to be pointing up? The bar will only fit with it pinching the seat belt. Sorry if this post is confusing or doesnt make sense.

 

Does anybody know why i cant get this bar on!? Is there something im not getting

It is a skunk 2 c-pillar bar. I will post pictures when i take some and figure out how to post them tomorrow. I plan on removing my back seat, so safety isn't much of a concern.

Do you put it all on at once, or the black mounting brackets first then slide the bar on? I tried both ways and can't get it.

I cant find the skunk 2 bar anywhere except for google images, but it looks just like the one in the link i posted. I really want this thing in, but i cant seem to fit it..

 

that design is completely useless. any chassis "stiffening" part with a pivot point is a total waste. might was well slap a chrome shower curtain rod in there. your rear passengers with in tact spinal cords after an accident will thank you.

PS- it amazes me how much total **** people buy for these cars. it is part of what gives us all a bad name. i road race an integra, and guess what? i have zero tie bars in the interior of my car. would they help? god no. would they help me look cool? not to anyone who knows their *** from a hole in the ground. sell that garbage to a craigslist fanboi.
