Can't find proportioning valve for '91 wagon.
Can't find a brake proportioning valve for any '91 for that matter. The part number for the coupe, sedan and my 5 door is the same 46210-SM4-A03. Yet for a '92, same generation, I can get a 46210-SM4-A05. Will this work for my '91? Has anyone tried this? I'm thinking the A05 might have superseded the earlier number but haven't found anything to back up my assumption.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
I should add that I've tried cross referencing to aftermarket with no luck. I can find aftermarket for '92+ but again nothing for '90 and '91.
I've checked part numbers for a range of cars and Accord wagons from '91 to '93 use the same m/c, calipers and rear wheel cylinders. You would think the proportioning valves would be the same too. So I don't know what the deal is with a proportioning valve being available for the '92-'93 but not for my '91. I'm just going to go with a valve for the '92 and call it good.
I had no trouble finding a part number. It was finding the actual part that was the problem. And I couldn't cross reference the OEM part number to anything available aftermarket either. My order from hondapartsunlimited for the '92 proportioning valve didn't get refused so I assume it is on it's way. I figured since part numbers for everything else in the braking system was the same then the '92 valve should work.
I'll post up later how it works out once it's installed.

After a week of driving with it installed I can say the proportioning valve for the '92 Accord works just fine in my '91 Accord Wagon. They are identical and even stamped with the same 30/30. Maybe the '92 valve superceded the '91s but was never listed as such? Not sure but it works just fine and was cheaper than the after market valves I found listed for the '92s.
