How necessary is ECU brass kickplate cover?
I mean it's not structural nor does it keep moisture out. I don't think there would be any harm removing it. If anything, it's used, possibly, as a heat barrier or way to mount the harness in a tidy manner.
<p>"Hey guys, how necessary is my ribcage? I mean, I know it protects my heart and all, but do I really need it?"</p><p>Think about it, OP. Take a wild guess. Are you seriously asking if you need part of the ******* casing for your ECU? There's a whole bunch of stupid going on ITT right now.</p>
Not the casing itself, the cover that essentially holds the ECU in place (at least that's what I'm understanding it as).
I just left it off, and was only wonderin if anybody else left theirs off since it's not necessary. ECU bolted right up fine without it.
