Default 1994 Accord Wagon, No Speedometer, clock.

Recently purchased a 1994 Accord wagon ex with the auto transmission. Just got new tires for it, so to begin driving around and discover that the speedometer doesnt work (already knew the clock didnt work) Have checked fuse #1 in the foot well panel and it passes a continuity test. Now I know the clock and the speedo are on the same circuit, but so are the backup lights (at least to my understanding of the fsm schematic, which could be wrong) and mine work just fine when I place the transmission in reverse. I do have a CEL 17 and some transmission error code (D4 is blinking) most likely related to this. Past the fuse box, Im not sure how the "Yellow" wire splits or goes to the different locations since it seems like parts of this circuit are working ie the BU lights, but not the clock or the speedo. Any suggestions of where to start or check? I looked under the hood and unlike a manual 93 civic where the engine bay is fairly clean and organized, its more like some engineer threw up and out came the engine, trans and abs in a huge congested blob and I had a hard time locating the VSS.

Sorry if this is long winded, but long time user of the Civic forum and have found more detail is better.

Don't know if it's related, but my speedometer and odometer weren't working on my 94 accord sedan, so I had to replace the speed sensor, which was $11 on amazon, by the way.

I don't know about the clock, but it might be cheaper to get a cheap $30-$40 stereo put in that has a clock display then replace the original honda part.

And here's a video on how to replace/find the ss.

I have swapped 3 clocks into the system, its not a problem with the clock itself. They cost 5$ at my local PAP.

Is there a connector guide where the wiring path is listed?

What is the clock doing? Nothing at all, even though you push the button to show the time you get no read out?

Are the other gauges working - fuel, temp. Does the "bulb" check work, when the key is first turned to on does the CEL come on for a few seconds and go off

Cel works. Bulb check works. Fuel gauge temp gauge rpm meter all work. Clock is dead. (Need to see if there is voltage on yellow wire) speedo is dead. No odometer no life...nada
