Default Headers for EM1

Megan Racing VS DC Sports. I have a 3 inch catback already. Opinions? Experiences? Which is the better header? Go

Dc by far...

Dc actually has backing to their name, opposed to Meagan which in reality is just another ebay Chinese sweatshop.

I've heard legitimate things from both brands.

That was a response to NAR not you. I've just read on other forums that people haven't had issues with Megan Racing. I've found one review and that was on this website. The only other thing I have to base the quality off of is the price. If you and everyone else says DC header, then DC it is. I Didn't take the time to post the question for nothing.

That's nice, doesn't matter. One is a respectable company with a solid history that puts the time and effort into making a quality product for shitty consumers, and even goes the extra step to make sure their product is legal in all 50 states. The other is a warehouse somewhere cheap that takes stuff shipped in from Taiwan, and slaps a sticker on it.

Those two companies shouldn't even be in the same sentence together.

megan racing started as a shitty ebay brand, notice the similarity between "megan" and "mugen"? in 04/05, all their crap was the same price as every other ebay garbage brand, same quality as well. i HIGHLY doubt anything has changed.

That's all I wanted to know. Do you guys know anything about 1320 performance headers? A friend of mine has a fully built and boosted ej hatch and he runs them and says he loves them. I asked his opinion on the whole Megan VS DC thing and he sent me 1320. Anyone ever hear of them?

I went with a ceramic DC header on my si when the bolts sized in my stock 2-piece header/a-pipe that I didn't want to mess with anymore. It's been fine for a few years of weekend use, garage kept.

That being said, I wouldn't get a header just to have one.

Oh and 1320 headers are knockoffs of PLM which I think is a knockoff of something else, I'm not even sure anymore.

They post dynographs on their site showing the HP gains over a stock USDM ITR or GSR header IIRC.

Keep in mind though, that's probably after the car was tuned, and if you aren't tuning your car, you aren't going to see the same gains.

It'd be a shame to pull your AC/PS for a header and no tuning.

If your goal is just to sound better, I wouldn't spend money on it.
If your goal is performance, don't buy it because you can't mount a turbo to it.

It's supercharged not turbo charged. So, yes, it's a header with a catless downpipe not a turbo manifold. Craftworks centrifugal I think. 7.5 pounds of boost.

I wouldn't turbocharge it anyway. I'm gonna supercharge it.

Then your best bet would be to build the header around the supercharger setup...

Came because thought dual exhaust cuz the plural s. Very disappoint. DC makes some good ones. Wrap them jaunts with some exhaust wrap if you're thinking of going forced induction, or for just good measure.
