Default Where to find a duel throttle pullies, one for cruise one for gas cable?

I installed cruise control to D16Y7 engine with factory Y7 intake manifold. Right now the cruise cable is attached to an odd metal arm bolted to the side of the gas pedal's throttle pulley. It works okay but would be smoother if I had duel pullies. Having the arm causes jerkiness when cruise is set cruising. Id like one for gas cable and one for cruise cable. I do not want to attach cable to inside gas pedal like factory does because i dont have the right gas pedal for cruise and unnecessary. Pullies need to be exactly side by side in line not separated. Where can i find a double pulley system like these pictures appear to show found from a search...

Any 96-00 LX with factory cruise should have what you need.

No there is only a gas pulley on any type of 96-00 Civic that has cruise or not. LX's have the cruise control feature yes, but only have a gas throttle pulley like any other type without cruise. The cruise cable is attached to the gas pedal through the firewall by design. There is no cruise pulley. I want a gas AND CRUISE pulley.

Is this the factory cruise control or those universal cruise controls?

No. I believe that bypassing the pedal assembly is as good or better way than Honda did attaching to gas pedal arm because is more simple straight to throttle and less cable. And i dont want to swap a pedal assembly if its unnecessary. Therefore, I believe my way is the correct way. If I could just get a throttle pulley that has two cable linkages/pulleys. Else I'll have to fabricate it using two pulleys welded together. Surely though there is a part I can order for this. Ive looked in junkyard and couldnt find one the other weekend.

Factory cruise I pulled from a junkyard car. I just didnt pull things like the pedal assembly, but purposefully because i knew i didnt need it. Im bypassing the pedal assembly going straight to throttle "like" aftermarket/universal kits do.

What the hell makes you think you didn't need the pedal assembly? You just pulled a factory oem cruise control actuator that was hooked to the pedal assembly, still need the cruise control ecm, SRS clock spring, and cruise control on/off button and activate/deactivate button. Thats the entire package.

If you want to do it the route you're asking for than it requires a longer throttle cable to the actuator, custom bracket to hold the cable in place plus that throttlebody w/ dual cable assembly. Which probably is going to run you more. its doable but do you really want to spend that extra just so you can mount the cable to the throttlebody?

The factory method works just fine. Seems like you're trying to make a lot of extra work for no measurable gain.

Try the correct pedal assembly, if you're still having trouble with smoothness, play around with the cable tension to get it dialed in.

I've already done everything youre saying Ill need or whatever. Dont need anything else and is working great other than having the lever isnt quite as smooth as a pulley would be. I made a custom bracket and cut the servo cable.

Now that Im really thinking about why they attached to the gas pedal. Its to hold the gas pedal at the right position after acceleration happens on my steering wheel controller. Doing this way will get rid of jerkiness since its just the factory gas pedal arm pulling from the servo. I didnt see the jerkiness happening until i got it all working and i see why they attached to gas pedal.

Found a diagram of my setup which is identical, I just dont have that outer cruise pulley instead i have a metal arm pointing at 2oclock...

If your custom job works that's great. Fwiw, my cc works smoother and faster than almost anything I've ever driven. Its quite surprising for the cc to work so well on a 16 yr old car with possibly 200k - 300k miles on it. They must have done something right.

My car is a DX manual which does not have the cruise arm and spring on the top of the gas pedal for a cruise cable to attach since not built for cruise control. Do I need to grab an entire pedal assembly from a cruise control car in the junkyard? Or, can I just remove a cruise car's gas pedal (that contains the cruise arm + spring) and swap gas pedals in my current pedal assembly then attach the spring?

Not even. It appears that the cruise arm is its own part:

It shouldn't need a spring, the throttle pedal already has one.

^ Ahh, #26 is not an accurate diagram of what the bracket looks like in both cruise and non-cruise vehicles. An image search nets you better visuals: Unless you plan to drill spot welds and re-weld, you need the whole pedal set.

How do I remove this part 5 and what tools will I need? Im not able to take a look at my pedal long story but need to know real quick what tools Ill need to remove part 5 from a donor car.. going to junkyard with friend now..

EDIT: Nevermind, looks part 5 isnt swappable from deshlong's pic. Looks like there are 4 bolts and the 1 more at the top I have to remove? What mm sockets for all bolts?? Sorry Im just on my way there now and would like quick instructions what ill need exactly for ripping this thing out of donor car.

Read my post first. Then make sure you have a deep 12mm socket, extension, and an elbow/angle thingy, as well as all your standard tools and sockets.

it may be hard to get under there but the easiest route is to pull the dash, than work your way to the pedals. Took me an hr with an impact, maybe less, but it should be about the same if you have a friend (which you do) and you hustle.

Nnnnnaaaaahhhhh, drop the steering column, unbolt, remove brake switch, wiggle out. Takes 15 mins tops with an electric screwdriver, more with hand tools. Done it this way heaps of times!

Yeah no dash pulling required. The pedal assembly is pretty easy to pull.

I was kind of surprised when I saw that arm was a separate piece. Too bad it's not a bolt on affair.

hell no. Drop the column. It's much easier.
By drop the column, take it from me when I swapped my pedals, take the entire column out. It makes life so much easier, and a lot more room

I agree with above, just swap the pedals. Theres no sense in trying try to reinvent stuff here. Only going to give you headache.

Throw an old towel down. It sucks, but you sometimes you have to nut up to get what you want for cheap. If you can't handle it, there's still new parts from the dealer. i can't count how many times I've come home filthy, cut up, and chewed up by mosquitos to get a part I wanted.
