Window Power regulator Adjust on 1991 Accord
Hello every one,
Driver side window regulator on my 1991 Accord was difficault to rolling up/down smoothly, glass moving slowish, and some times clogged on its way moving midway within its run channel, so I dismounted the regulator and detached the Motor for service & remedy, (I forgot to scribe marker on the roller guide mounting bolts before removing the Motor). after greasing the roller rails & changing one of its broken rollers, I assmbled the Motor to the regulator (without having any guides for its proper positioning of the Motor to regulator ) & installed the regulator into the door, the main issue I faced is that glass is not rolling up/down on trial operation easily and regularly by the regulator, causing Glass jumps off its tracks, question is how to segregate and diagnose the 2 below causing issues; can any one lead me the adjustment hint or which one of the below cases would be the cause for such issue?
a) Regulator alignment has been failed when removing the Motor ? How to adjust the main mounted position of the Motor against the regulator cog wheel?
b) Operation fails due to unadjusted glass run whitin the central and front guides? what practical tries can be made on adjusting the Glass guides? How to try the adjustment , hand mooved glass through guides rails? or motor operqated while glass is mounted on the regulator?
c) other reason for malfunction of window operation may causing the issue?
welcome guides and technical comments/ views
with thanks.

I can't help with any alignment of the guides. But I can tell you when I had the same issue with slow sticking windows I replaced just the window channel to fix it. I only did my driver's side as an experiment to see if it helped and it fixed the issue for me. My passenger side glass still sticks. The felt and rubber inside the channel gets old and stiff, making it difficult for the glass to slide smoothly in it.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Good day to you and thanks your shared experience, indeed the running channels stifness after years can be one of cause for firm movement of glass, also round roller in the Guide as rightly mentioned by you is count for issue too, but as I given it more time last night, the right position of the toothed moving device with the Motor carried by several tries and alignment of the regulator with Motor soved, seems your points are true and I need to replace the running guids on next time.
Thanks alot and goodluck.
Thanks alot and goodluck.
I had this issue on my 93 accord - turns out, the rubber seal (channel) closest to the front of the car was all bunched up and off-track, causing issues. I disassembled the door, straightened out the seal, and sprayed some silicone lubricant on the channel itself - now the window runs up & down as if it were new.
