Default AC not blowing cold

My A/C is not working right, the compressor kicks on for like 10 seconds, idle goes down a bit, then it turns off, idle raises. It waits another 10 seconds, then kicks on again. It just does this over and over. The A/C starts to get cold, but then the compressor turns off/clutch disengages(whatever it is) and it starts to lose cool. I tried buying a recharge kit and I put it all in the cap with the L on it, it helped a tiny bit but I went through the whole bottle.

It's running hondata s300 and turbo'd 1998 LS

I should say I've never really used the A/C until recently so I'm not saying it was working right before and all of a sudden it's broken or something

Tried one more can, it blows cold for a second and then it turns off, the clutch is now grinding on the AC compressor when it kicks in, I think the unit is bad, probably gonna replace it and evac everything and start new.

Sounds like you either need a new compressor or an A/C delete A/

check the thermostat. I think it senses that the system is enough cold and turns the compressor off. I think it can be adjusted to delay the cut off.
