List of parts needed to swap tranny
I'm at this point where the stock automatic transmition is not good for me anymore, plus I concluded with the help of you guys
, on my last topic, that I was far better off to change the flywheel in order to reduce rotationnal mass than the crank pulley.
Of course, this is more easily done on a manual car than an automatic, so one other reason for me to do the swap. Now, I know that as I will be doing the swap, I will take care of the flywheel, and most probably of the clutch as well. But the swap requires a lot more parts than these, such as the master cylinder, shifter kit(doesn't have to be a short shifter, or should it?) and maybe even a different throttle body, who knows?
So what I'm asking you is to write me down the most complete list of the parts I will need to complete the swap from automatic to manual. Some pieces may not be stock, but with better performance (ie: Flywheel), but I am a high mileage guy, so I definitely prefer reliability over performance...$$$$
Thanks
Jeff

Ok, thanks for the link, Stew, very helpful. Now, about the flywheel and the clutch, where should I head to? I know UR makes one at 10lbs, but I don't like the way they seem to BS about their stuff. And as for the clutch, I need one that could last up to 200,000 miles, similarly to the stock one, preferably more performant and lighter. Is this possible?
I doubt you will get 200K miles out of any clutch unless you drive like my Grandma. As far as flywheels, check out this thread - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=316633
For clutches, check out- https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=153021
Hope this helps...
Also try using the search feature and you will come up with most of the info you need.
