Default Newbie lude questions

Selling the S2k and looking for Prelude. Prefer 3rd gen., like a 93 or 95. What is the diff between a Si and VTEC or is there.

If I want a good, cheap, H22, 5sp, ABS car which should I be looking for. Did they come without sunroofs?

TIA,

93 or 95 is 4th gen

they do have an H22, it's the VTEC model

S- F22 SOHC non-VTEC
Si- H23 DOHC non-VTEC
VTEC- H22 DOHC VTEC

not really sure of hp, or anything else about them, that's pretty much my extent of knowledge on 4th gens

It is fiscally related, I'm not completely insane.

I've had a civic and I can't see getting another one, I like the Prelude for its power/comfort level and once I get back on my feet it would be a nice track dog.

not to beat a dead horse:
but you want a 94-96 VTEC. Leather, dash, comfort, speed.

All the power and speed of a Type R, but you get leather, cruise, sunroof, etc.

he doesn't know what he's talking about, 4th gens are crap, but hey if you can't afford a 5th gen right now, at least it's a Prelude, not as nice or as fast as a nwere one, but a Prelude all the same....

Not as nice? hahahahahaha. The 94-96 VTEC has a full leather interior, cool electro-luminescent dash and some of the best styling honda has turned out! Not to mention the excellent form fitting seats and stuff...

4th gen VTECs have better gearing for faster acceleration, and the 94-95 has the mod-friendly OBDI emissions controls!! You know you want a fourth gen!

Pete: Si has the H23 DOHC non-vtec 160hp. It's nice but not as nice as a VTEC H22. for full specs hit up http://prelude.vtec.net/gen4/

hey, i've got a full leather interior..... and how many of you 4th gen owners can say you share guage colors with the ITR and th NSX (amber guages), plus, i don't have to spend any extra money making my car "JDM", b/c the only visual difference is that the steering wheel is on the other side...

You;re just bitter that you have no cool JDM toys. If you have full leather interior you imported a Canadian SE or had to pay for it. And 4th gen blue gauges are the coolest!
