TN FS- 1991 CRX Si- Tahitian Green- 80k Miles
1991 CRX Si- Tahitian Green
Location- Kingsport, TN
Mileage- 80k
Up for sale is my 1991 CRX Si, I purchased the car in February 2014 when the car had 78k on it. I drove it 4.5 hours home. This is a fourth car for me and I cannot justify keeping it and not driving it.
80k miles
Hot heat
ICE COLD a/c
Everything on the car works (Lights, Sunroof, Radio, etc), with the exception of the horn
Runs and drives GREAT
Engine is quiet with no noises and the transmission/clutch shifts smooth with no scrapes or grinds
The previous owner said that the timing belt and water pump were changed about 12,000 miles before I purchased the car. He also stated that a new master cylinder and thermostat were also recently installed.
Since I have had the car, I have replaced the following:
New OEM Honda rotor button
Replaced the main relay
Replaced the steering wheel with one in better condition
Front struts are NEW Monroe OE-Spectras
Installed NEW Tein S-tech springs (rides like factory)
The car does have an aftermarket header, aftermarket intake, DC Sport muffler and a Dual CD player
However, many original parts will be sold with the car, such as:
OEM Intake and filter
OEM Springs
OEM Mudflaps
OEM Steering wheel
OEM Exhaust manifold
There are a few things that need to be mentioned:
The climate control is cracked (does not hinder the function whatsoever)
Driver seat has two small places
The paint on the top portions of the car is oxidized/paint faded
3 small dings on the entire car
Sunroof is black
Passenger door panel has a TINY place in it
CRX has had some previous paint work on the driver's quarter
I know that sounds like a lot of things "wrong" with the car but I am particular and am trying to be up front and nitpick the car apart. Other than the three dings on the car, the body and glass is near flawless. All the black trim is in very good shape. Everything lines up great and the body gaps look like it rolled off the assembly line. The car is 99.9% rust free, with the only rust I have seen or found being on the sunroof panel; that is why it has been sanded and painted black by a previous owner. The car is very fun to drive and gets looks and compliments wherever it goes. I would not hesitate to get in it and drive it anywhere this second. I am going to attach several pictures and if anyone wants to see something specific just let me know and I'll be more than happy to get those pictures. The car will be sold on factory Si wheels that are in good shape, not the EM1's that are pictured on it currently (all of the pictures attached were taken last night). The price is on the higher side, but this is not a ragged out/beat up CRX, it is mostly original with super low miles and no rust!
SERIOUS INQURIES ONLY, no tire kickers
Asking $6500, but I am very flexible and realistic (no trades)

What a great crx. Price is decent but it's at OBO so that's great. Wish this car would have been a bit closer to TX and I will realistically make a relistic offer. Good luck with the sale
Thank you. Fly in and drive it home; I'm located about 25 minutes from Tri-Cities Regional Airport! All realistic offers will be considered.
Yes, D16a6. It is the original as far as I know.
I also forgot to add that in the last 2 months the driver's side axle was replaced along with a driver's side tie-rod (I cannot remember if it was inner or outer because a shop replaced it) and the front end was aligned.

Just an update on the car...
I had an inquirer wanting the VIN number, after he ran the CarFax he informed me (and sent the report) that there is a mileage discrepancy on the odometer. I had never questioned the mileage due to the overall condition of the car. So just to be up front, the mileage apparently is not 100% correct. The car is still for sale and once again I am very motivated.
Bump for $5500.

Thank you guys!! The mileage may be 80k, but according to the CarFax it could be more. I'll explain in more detail to a potential buyer.

$5300... I would love to have this thing sold before winter sets in. If anyone is serious then I can send any specific pictures you'd like. Thanks!

Sorry for just now responding to this! When I bought the car it had 78,xxx on it; now it has 80,xxx (I purchased it in Feb. 2014). A potential buyer from CA ran the vin number through CarFax. There was a mileage entered in 2013 (I think) of 166,xxx. One of two things has happened, either the shop doing the work at the time has mistakenly entered a "1" before the 66,xxx or someone has previously swapped out the cluster between then and the time I bought the car. Honestly, I think there was a mistake because the car runs and drives like a sub-100k car! There is also a sticker in the engine bay stating the timing belt was changed in 2013. But to be upfront, this is all I know; and did not know this until the last few weeks (I posted in this thread as soon as I found out).
Any offers can be sent to (423) 480-9694. The price is now $5300 OBO. I can send the CarFax or additional pictures upon request. Thank you!
