I recently bought a 95 eg went to smog it today and reading was diluted so I have a exhaust leak I need to fine but also my timing read 4 btpc but it has to be 16+ - 2 has atleast a vtech valve cover never took it off the ecu has no markings on it to tell me which one it is but has an extra wire not with the rest that runs throug the firewall an connects to a plug attatched to the back of the head maybe for vtec? Just wondering if I can adjust the timing on that to 16 or its like that because of the vtech. Thanks for all the help and sorry about no periods/grammer typing this on my phone.

 

For mechanical timing, the timing marks are on the cam and crank pulleys and on the lower timing belt cover.

For spark timing, the timing marks are on the crank pulley and the lower timing belt cover.
