1991 EF Sedan DX w/ EG Axles hub not spinning
Hello Everyone,
This might be an old topic but I've done tons of research and I just recently finished my D16z6 swap in my EF Sedan. I used the 95 hydro tranny as well with the hasport conversion kit. Everything fit smoothly except for the axles. I chose to use the EG Axles because thats what the transmission is set up for and the spindle count matches the hub and tranny. I read that you should buy axles for the transmission not the chasis so thats what I did.
I also read that a couple people experienced an issue where the axle binds on the hub when you tighten the axle bolt and the hub doesn't spin freely.
This is exactly what happened to me, so now I have a perfectly installed motor but I can't drive it.
I'm reaching out to see if anyone has had this same experience and if they figured out a solution.
Some people recommend just using the EF axles but since the placement is slightly off with the tranny it could wear down your tranny.
I read a lot of posts related to this question (which I have posted at the bottom). I can't find a definitive answer on this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Posts for reference below:
