Deka Power Sports ETX20L
I have a stock battery right now in my car and would like to replace it with (maybe) a Deka ETX20L. However, the post on the battery doesnt seem to be of the same type. I tried to find a thread explaining the different battery posts, but I didn't find one.
So what do people do when they buy that kind of battery? Do they use some kind of adapters to make it work with OEM battery cables?
Thanks

If you call up the battery on Amazon at Amazon.com: Deka Power Sports ETX20L Battery: Automotive then it mentions that http://www.amazon.com/XS-Power-586-A...xgy_263_text_y are frequently bought along with the battery. There is also http://www.amazon.com/Odyssey-SAE-Te...0_SR160%2C160_. The Deka battery appears to have a covering on the positive terminal, so I'm not sure if that comes off or not like what is shown in this battery http://www.amazon.com/Batteries-ETX2...ds=Deka+ETX20L.
One word of caution - I bought those 'XS Power' terminals (either from Amazon or maybe E-bay) and used them on a small AGM battery that I bought for my race car. Sometimes the car would start fine, and other times not. I took the battery back to the place I bought it, and they tested it, and found that it was bad when they tested it, but when they removed the XS Power terminals, the battery tested fine. It turned out, that the XS Power terminals are held on with a bolt with a lock washer, and the lock washer contact area was small enough to actually affect it which was surprising as I figured that the current should have been able to get thru the contact area on the bottom of the XS Power terminal.
There is some more info on the Deka battery at USA-Made Big Crank ETX20L Battery - Free Shipping: BatteryMart.com and if you click on the product information tab, then there is some info on side mount cables if you have those type of non standard connectors, but if you have standard ends, then I believe you will need the XS Power or similar terminals.
PS - I installed a battery tender and hardwired it to my small AGM battery, so I can easily keep it fully charged at home. - Jim
