Default Resale Value After Racing Mods

I went to the track 14 times this year, my second year, and I have to admit that I pushed the car big time. Needed to bleed the brakes every other track day, went thru 3 sets of tires, 3 sets of brake pads, plus all the other wear and tear. What I realize is that I can no longer use the car as a daily driver + track car.

So, having paid off the car, I am now able to get a second car as a daily driver. This means I can finally have the rollbar and race seat installed this winter, they have been sitting in garage for months. I also want to do a few other upgrades, (suspension, Mugen Header + exhaust), etc. For next year, I am planning on 20 track days, the ITR will pretty much become a dedicated track car.

I plan on keeping the car for 2 more years, then I'll be ready to step into a higher HP RWD car, and sell the ITR. How hard would it be to sell it with all those mods? Also, here's a dumb question: Can you remove a rollbar? I mean, it gets welded, so I imagine this won't be very easy.

I plan on keeping all the stock parts, so when the time comes to sell, depending on the seller, I can convert it back to stock as close as possible.

Opinions and advice would be appreciated.

If you just bolt in the rollbar you wont have to worry about removing it later, and if you sell it honestly you're gonna have to take a price hit for all the hard driving you did.

Just be realistic when it comes to selling price. I mean if YOU were the buyer of your Type R - what would YOU pay for it.

You can always sell it to someone who is looking for a Type R track car - there's lots of those people.

Keep the car in good mechanical condition and take car of the appearance (wax regularly - or get it professionally detailed every 4 months).

It will definately lower your re-sale value...expect taking a price hit for driving your car so hard but as long as you felt you put it to good use, then
