Icon5 Heater Hoses HELP!

I'm doing a gsr swap in a 95 civic eg8 cant figure out how to plug up the Heater core hoses and also 2 hoses coming out of the thermostat housing connecting pipe. Its like I'm missing a part or something. I checked online for diagrams and found out that there's a pipe called Heater bypass pipe. Now, I went to a junk yard today on a search for one but found nothing, it seems like d series engines did not come with this "heater bypass pipe." Heres a picture of what I'm talking about, the red is the bypass pipe, the 3 yellow are the hoses that haven't been connected.

My question is, do I necessarily NEED this bypass pipe, can I just attach some brass fittings and a couple high temp hoses to make up for the bypass pipe? If not where can I get one?
