Fastest Full interior Coupe
Never thought I'd start a thread like this but I want to know if my goals are realistic.
ok it goes like this.
I am building a 1999 civic SI coupe, primary horsepower goal 800hp I have the components to support it, the engine currently sits at 662whp when it was in a a chassis.
the car will have full interior front and rear seats, complete OEM dash, 8 point mild steel roll cage, full 3.5" exhaust.
My goal is to break into the 9's track preparation here in Germany is next to no preparation.
is this goal possible?
Need more info on the setup?
GE sleeved B20/Vtec 84.5mm Arias 9.1/Pauter
built head stock ports/Skunk Pro1/ferrea comp+
Full race top mount/twin/ Garrett GTW 67mm
Gforce Dog box/DSS 5.9
Hondata s300/CPR

Good, there is hope, anymore?
I went from
a 95 coupe
to 99 hatch
to 93 htch
to 96 del sol
now to EM1 coupe.
trying to find my comfort while reaching my goal, this is the final call

You should be fine getting you car in the 9's, you got a good trans setup and when I ran 9.9's it was at 23psi which was around 700whp so you should be good.
I am hoping to go back out and get 9.5's here soon.

your goals seem very attainable, just have to work on that launch and be nice to your axles!!!
what I'm saying Steve, we have a entire different setup, my car will not be a completely drag car because I have to pass street inspection, I have a EM1 1999-2000 civic coupe with full interior, including sunroof and roll cage, only weight removed was the sound deadening from the floor. So in that case it is not comparable against your drag hatch...
we have similar setup. but different chassis and weight of car.
