Hey guys i had acouple questions regarding a mini me swap with a d16y7 block to a z6 head. The head i received did not have a cam, so as of now i have a y8 cam. i also have the y8 intake manifold, fuel injectors, throttle body. Now which ecu would be best to run such a set up. will an obd1 ecu like po8 or p28 be capable of running y8 injectors and sensors as well as a z6 head, vtec solenoid. Also, with the y8 cam, how would i go about with the dizzy so that the timing is correct. I know the y8 and z6 distributors are different. would it just be easier to go all z6 parts or would this sort of mash up also work without issues. I am just trying to use all the parts that i have available. Thank you guys for the time.

 

You're gonna need a chipped p28

 

Would i modify a y8 dizzy to mount on the z6 or would a z6 dizzy work with a y8 cam
