Default 94 Accord - won't start completely dead no lights

Hey Guys - I tried to start my car yesterday morning and it gave the old low battery barely will crank etc. I had a feeling sub amps may have been slowly draining the battery since the radio guy hardwired it to one of the electrical wires.

Got home in the evening, disconnected the radio wire he had used and safely wrapped some tape around the open ends. I tried cranking it, nothing, no lights sound nothing, not even the interior light. So I figured just a dead battery, I'll just jump it. Hooked it up to another car and the horn starts blaring loud. Not the type where the aftermarket alarm is going off. It's as if it's being depressed but I have checked the horn button and it's not stuck. I was thinking it's the alarm, so I tried the valet button but it doesn't work. I took out the horn fuse from under the hood box, and left it jumped hoping it will charge. Still nothing.

Thoughts? Some have said it could be a short?

Verify the battery can be recharged and hold a charge.
Verify battery connections are clean and tight.
Verify all 'new' wiring has been installed correctly.
Check the last thing that has been replaced or worked on as a starting point. Something may have been disturbed/not reassembled correctly and is now causing a fault.

Thanks for the reply. I found out recently that it was the main 80 amp battery fuse under the hood box. I replaced it and the car started right up with a jump pack. I took the battery to advance auto parts and they were able to recharge to 50% - which is good enough to start the car on its own for now...

If the 80a fuse blew you have an underlying issue. You need to find and fix the short to ground or that fuse will blow again.
