2013 Civic Si - Driving with Traction Control?
So I was reading a thread about the "known first gear noise" on my 2013 si coupe... and one of the posts said something about not driving with the Traction Control on ever. My question is: what are your thoughts on using the TC all the time like it is by default versus always turning it off?....
TC can save you in adverse conditions if you are not a extremely skilled driver. So for DD stuff I would leave it on. Gonna do some sprited driving or track days. Feel free to turn it off.
When I have the TC on it pulls in ruts in the road like a fiend for some reason. Doesn't do it when I turn it off. My toe isn't excessive enough to explain it.
I usually just turn it off and don't have to deal with any of the issues. It's rather annoying and I wish the car didn't have it. I've loved driving it outside of that issue, and eating tires like skittles...
I would pull the fuse on it, but I read on 9th gen forums that it's a bad idea and causes other issues. I can't recall what they were though.
