How much would a wrecked TypeR be worth?
I'm new on this board, as you can see.
I'm wondering how much a wrecked 1999 Type R, with 93,000 kms (about 50,000 miles). The motor and tranny is perfect and garanteed. The Wheels, interior, and many other things are in perfect shape.
So how much do you guys think this would be worth.

They're probably pretty cheap. Judging by how many clapped out broke *** Civics running around with B18C5 swaps, ITR interiors, and 5-lug conversions... You know the guys who can't afford their monthly insurance notes, but for some reason they can afford complete ITR swaps. Be careful with the interior though -- the center armrest is especially delicate. The number plaque is known to quite frequently fall off if the car has been in even the slightest collision. You'll be hard pressed to find an ITR interior that includes the center armrest with number plaque.

As I had CheezeFrog the flamesuit.
I'm not buying it... I'm selling it.
NOTE* At this time we're not parting out the car, we want to sell it complete.
Extra Note** The number plate is still there.

you can make way more money if you part it out! talking about 2k-3k more than the whole wrack....depends on what is damaged.
Usualy the tranny and engine is worth 4500 USD.

that intake doesnt look too great. looks like the impact was pretty hard. Id be sketchy to buy that motor with such a hard impact. you never know what happened...axles coulda been pushed into the tranny, IM/TB area could be screwy, etc...if I was interested in buying it, I definitely wouldnt expect to pay avg retail for it.
I would say......seal the coolant circuit and make sure no belts and pulleys are hitting something, then start up the sucka and CRANCK THE BITCH!!!!!!!
the car that i got my swap from looked like a much worse front end, the only thing wrong with that was 1 of the threads on the tranny mount was smashed off.
Ok, so here’s the best way for me to reply, since I’m only aloud to reply 5 times in 24 hours??? ALSO I CAN'T RECIEVE PM'S OR IM'S, I guess newbees are "very" limited

Yes the cold air intake is finished and so is the Radiator and pretty much all the body panels. The throttle body is fine. The AEM rubber hose just popped off.
Also, we did run the car after the accident, before the insurance company forced the cut in two.

The intake is perfect, and the impact wasn’t all that hard, the radiator is gone but manifold, is fine. Axles are perfect as the wheels didn’t hit anything, front hit first, than swung around hit the back, then swung around again and stopped on the drivers door.

The interior was taken out so that they wouldn’t cut through it (that would be a waste).
So, all the seats, carpeting, dash, door panels, consuls, arm rest with ITR badge and #, are still in perfect shape.
How much for the whole car??? E-mail me to discuss, we’ve had many offers, but we’re not grabbing the first offer.

Your absolutely right, believe me I’ve seen worse also.
Honestly, we checked around the engine bay very carefully, the only bolt we saw that broke was a motor mount bolt, and I believe it’s the one from mount to frame, so no big deal there.
I hope that I’m answering all your questions, but if you have more questions, please e-mail me at:

Sorry I take so long to write back, but you all can imagine how many e-mails I'm getting everyday for this car.
Especially Honda Civic owners.
Thanks for all the replies.
