A jingling metallic noise is only produced when the clutch is pressed in and the car is idling.If i touch the gas the noise disappears. If the clutch pedal is released there is no noise at any rpm. The car shifts smooth at all rpm. The clutch is an exedy oem kit with new tob and CC 12lb flywheel. All parts have over 700 miles on them.

Due to the timing of the noise (when the clutch pedal is depressed) im assuming my new tob is broken or.....

any thoughts are appreciated

Since the clutch was just done, pull the unit back out and inspect the damage. The noise you describe points to the bellhousing area.

 

Odd follow up, i went back out to the car about 2 hours after posting to run it again. I pulled the fork boot of an put my camera in everything looks great, the bearing looks new still. I also could not get it to make the noise with the clutch depressed or at all even after reaching operating temp for 20 min. Now that i think it only makes the noise after ive driven it for some time and push the clutch in never after a cold start. This points me to heat expansion. I wondering if its something exhaust related only jingling at the vibration resonance of idle with clutch in or a simliliar situation of heat expansion in the trans. Even when it was making the noise with the clutch depressed it if i raised the rpm from 800 to 1000 it would go away. Which sounds odd that the tob would make a rattle only sometimes, but not screetch like normal bad tobs.

Normally exhaust rattling(specifically the cat shield) would be the opposite, clutch pedal out causes the noise and clutch pedal pushed in make it go away.

Best thing to do is get it up on a lift and have it checked out underneath.
