Default asking my buddies here: for my EF - b16a, b18b, b20, or b18c5...

I want a b series motor in my EF, and this is type R related b/c I want to keep the swap compatible with my type R...

Should I get a cheapo b16, b18b, or b20 and b00st on it?

Or just wait and get a b18c5 and be pretty much done? Maybe a small amount of boost later...

I really want b00st though... I had even considered stock b20 + turbo for my type R, and using the type R motor in my EF. Blasphemy, I know, but so what?

250whp is the goal here. On low boost.

B20 plus b00st is what i would do. Cheapest engine to get that kind of power out of.

hell no, thats a great idea. anyone that thinks all a type r is is a hot motor'd integra is stupid. trade motors, that would be sick....

Oh yes of course since it's for the beater, the $ factor is thus: keep expenditures as low as possible...

Nonsense. The B18C5 in an EF is a great idea. And a B20 running double digit boost on a built motor in the R is a great idea.

B20 + boost to get 250 whp = blown engine unless you spend the money to do it right ........

B16 + boost is tried and true, and cheaper than the B20 route in an EF.

This is coming from an EF owner as well .........

.....do you speak from experience? I've seen 14lbs of boost on a stock b20... not what I'd run everyday, but still...

I like the b20 for the extra tq and all...

A. Wash your EF first.
B. Buy my sleeved block and b00st all you want.
C. Wash your ITR.
D. What were we talking about again?
