do zc's have egr valves?
maybe a stupid question, but I cant think..I've got a friend trying to get his zc through emissions and they're telling him that he needs to get a 3 way cat b/c the zc doesnt have an egr valve... what the hell's a 3 way cat?? I think they're trying to rip him off...
I am pretty sure they have an egr valve....I passed both my ZC and b16 and the shops said nothing about not having an egr valve. A three way cat gets rid of all three tested gases...i believe...someone correct me if i am wrong.

I went out and looked at mine and could not find anything that looks like an EGR valve. Emissions aren't that big of a deal where some of the ZC come from... i.e. Europe. There, ZC don't even have catalytic converters! Hence the lack of a EGR system.
FYI - none of the 4th gen D-series engines in the U.S. have EGR's with exception to the automatic trannied D15 sold in California. So, I don't think that Honda was using EGR's for their route of controlling emissions. Just use a 3-way cat if you are going for a smog check.
HF's have EGR's and mine didn't come with an autotranny, smart guy.
