Unfortunately I damaged my h22 head and wanted to know if the valve seat could be repaired? Is it possible and if so how much would a shop charge(average price)? If anyone has some helpful information I'd greatly appreciate it I'd hate to junk the head for spare parts.

just from the damage i can see from the picture( 3 chambers, i seat , 1 valve, 1 guide) you are indeed better off sourcing a fresh head. the only time we repair cylinder heads with that type of damage is if it has extensive port work making it a viable option. Find a good core head, invest in some valvetrain and a fresh recondition so you dont have to worry about the head again.. hows the bottom end look?
H22 heads are dirty cheap were I live. I could probably find 6-10 tomorrow for less than $200 each if I wanted. You'd be crazy to try to fix that instead of just hitting up craigslist.
Yep c list in oc has 2 h22 heads for 200 each. I'm aware that they're cheap...I just wanted opinions from people that would know how much it would cost to fix my head(members that do this for a living). I already own a ported polished p13 head with skunk valves and pro series valvetrain, valve job, new valve guides, etc....All the bells and whistles. Buying a head from a private party can be more expensive than one may think. It may need a resurface, valve job, or some upkeep with unseen cost.
even $200 is expensive in my area. My Last trip to the scrapyard, there 5-6 H22 ludes waiting to be crushed. Dime a dozen. Unforeseen costs, nah. If you're really feeling like upgrading, install some new valve seals. Resurfacing... Overrated imo. Valve job, what for? An h22 head could probably last more than a million miles.
