Default A/C compressor recommendation

Anyone have a suggested, tried and true, A/C compressor brand that they go with? Possibly some to avoid? I'm looking for a new, not remanufactured, A/C compressor.

Rock auto has: GPD, Four Seasons and "Various MFR" available.

Autozone has: Everco and Compressor works

Amazon has: Universal Air Conditioner CO

eBay has: Omega and several non named brands

Thanks for any insight.

If you can't go Denso reman, I would say Four Seasons would be the next choice.

Four Seasons and Compressor works have better than average quality based on my 10 years of experience. Compressor kits sold by both of these manufacturers will usually come with the correct seal kits the first time. Always dump the oil and replace it with the correct amount of PAG 46 (ND-8 oil).

Thanks for the replies. I went with Four Seasons and I'll dump the oil prior to install and add the right amount of oil.
