Default 08 Si engine swap?

Bought a 08 civic si from the auction today. Car had damage to oil pan. Dropped the pan and pulled a bearing cap, crank is toast.
I live in cali, i will need to pass smog as well as a vin inspection with chp.
What are my swap options??
Motor will be coming out soon and a tear down to follow.
Also any common issues with these transmission? Car has 160k

It depends do you plan on using the z3 tranny again? I would think so...

So you can put another z3 and everything will work. Or you can do a k24A2 but you will need an tranny casing from a k20a or k24a and swap the z3 internals. That would be my best option if going with the k24.

You can mod the z3 tranny to work with a k24a2 but I would rather not do that personally.

Thanks for the reply.
I plan on using the transmission as long as its good.
I found a k20z3 with 150k at the local LKQ Dismantler, but they want $1700 for it. Before i go spend that money i wanted to know if their are any alternative swaps i can drop in and still pass smog/emissions inspections so no cel codes and all monitors complete and ready.
