Figure it's about time to make a build thread for this car. It will be my weekend/strip car. I will be competing in the local 10.50 index classes and just an overall badass street car. Pretty simple setup I think.
The basics:
4Piston pro163 head
4Piston pro stock valvetrain
4Piston k600 cams
4Piston ported skunk2 ultra
Myers hood exit
K-tuned 90mm tb
88mm wiseco 14.3:1 pistons
Manley h-beams with upgraded ARP 625 bolts
ID1000s
Kpro4
Ep3 1-2, tsx 3-6, mFactory lsd
Pump e85 for the street and c85 for track duties utilizing flex fuel so I can just fill it up and go. Still have to iron out some details such as harnesses and fuel system, but the motor will be going together shortly. Right now it's just a pile of parts and not enough room lol.
Enough talk, everyone likes pictures!

I'll update as I go. Bottom end parts will be dropped off at the machine shop soon and all assembly will be done by me, friends, and lots of beer.

Awesome dude. I have an 88x99 K24a2 that's going in my EM1 over the winter. Not quite as stout, 13:1 Weiscos and a Pro 156 head, but still a screamer (324/212 On a dynojet) Bought it in an EG but it's replacing the turbo B20v in my 00 Si. Definitely anxious to see the finished product of this beast though!

With a whole lot more to go. Still need a fuel system, axles, harnesses, suspension, cage, wheels, etc.
I'm hoping to have it at least running by the end of the year.
Main priorty right now is just finish up the motor.

nice build...I know I'm weird when the most impressive thing I saw here is that oil cap lol..I want that thing for my CRX cause hood still taps any oil cap I have tried.

Not sure yet. I got a really good offer from Vit in Oregon. Not sure if I wanna make the trip. Wanna come with?
I can't thank you enough for the support. Let me know if you need help with where to set the cams. If you are using VTC, use a 25 degree RBB gear. I read somewhere else a guy said he was running 40 deg VTC with our head and cams....and I promise you that car is a couple hundred miles from a total loss on the engine. You can run 27-28....use the 25 gear an an insurance policy. VTC isn't as accurate as what the computer calls for.
Thanks for sharing all the pics!!!

No, thank you for the awesome parts and service. I can't tell you how many times some of these other so called big name companies have brushed off the little guy like me. I don't have big time sponsor money or shop support. Everything here is coming out of my pocket. It's a great feeling knowing I can call/text and get a response back in the same year lol and that I'll get my parts when you say I will. You guys push me to keep going.
