Failing clutch?
Hi Honda Tech, I have a 1998 Acura EL with a B16 and a S4C gearbox and had a question about the clutch and it's potential failure.
This is my first manual car, I believe I am competent in driving a manual transmission, I don't slip the clutch very much and have never smelt it burning nor do I have any troubles shifting the car smoothly.
However, lately I had noticed the clutch feels significantly lighter and the engagement point of the clutch pedal is much higher. There's no funny noises or anything that would be related to clutch, I couldn't find any leaks from anywhere and haven't caught a scent of any fluid either.
I just wanted to get some of your guys's educated opinions on whether this is normal or what could be causing this and how to troubleshoot it.
Thanks in advance for your responces

If you rev it out into real high RPMs does the clutch slip? Like will the revs climb without actually putting all of the power to the ground? Definitely sounds like it could either be a worn clutch disc or just need adjusting. How many miles on the clutch and how old is it?
Sorry I forgot to add that info, there is no slipping when putting power down in any gear or scenario, but it doesn't seem to pull as hard as it once did but that may be related to the motor I plan to do plugs, wires and get a friend to inspect for any irregularities.
I do not know the mileage of the swap as the previous owner was a friend of mine that bought the car from an insurance company, but for what it's worth I have put 10,000 kilometers on the car since buying it. I know it's kind of vague since I don't have knowledge of the true mileage on the drivetrain
