Icon2 Steering feels super-light after wheel alignment

I drive a 2014 Civic LX, and I noticed that every time it has a wheel alignment done, the steering feels super-light afterward, and then if I drive it, say, 50-100 miles, it begins to feel tight again, and I don't have to turn the steering wheel as much. I wonder, what accounts for this?

If the alignment is off the tires are going to wear off a certain way so when you get realigned the tires are going to wear off again in the "right way" per say.
