yup.. but they never make fun of the people that buy clock blockers and gauge clusters they cant read.. and other useless parts.. its rice to buy a body kit, which is a useless thing.. but its ok to buy clock blockers, spoon socks, japanese lic. plates, tail lights that look exactly the same minus 2 reflectors, arm rest eliminators, coin pockets, rear seats with headrests, mugen valve covers, type R valve covers, spoon mirrors, SiR plaques, false badging, etc..

kinda funny..

but this is honda tech.. where JDM is a look now.. and from what ive learned by this vast source of information, known as the Honda-Tech Appearance Forum, a JDM car consists of: carbon fiber hood and/or lip, 15" rims painted flat black, gauge cluster that reads in km/h, an amber clock, or replacing your clock with a piece of plastic that reminds you what kinda car you're driving, in case you forget, and a lot of other stuff that just comes stock in another country, and doesnt upgrade a car at all..

i think its pretty immature and unfortunate how you will have some people clown on a car like this, which may not be very performance oriented, but was executed cleanly for what the goal of completion was. his parts do not portray race, road race, jdm, drag, etc etc. they simply portray his taste show wise. should he be installing road race and drag race parts to win a show? or doing things that would be right at home at a show. although not mine i will say that i dont think its so ricey. as said before..nicely done for what HE was going for. all panels painted, no mismatching cracked kits.no black rims up front, no 88217 decker wing. u guys are calling it rice, but ive seen much much worse and things much much more tacky.

these are the same people who constantly make the comment "dude, why are you hating, maybe it makes THEM happy" when someone clowns some **** that they dont really like at heart, or what is accepted as *dope* on a site . but switch it up and they themselves dont listen to their own words, and will come into a thread like this trynna clown someone. very logical.

i guess hot rods like this with body work are "rice too"

u can not compare these two cars have more respect for the hot rod and the hot rod guy didnt go out buy a bunch of fiberglass parts and call it a day get a body shop to put it on mold it and drive it.....hot rods take a lot of work and time working with sheet metal that is over 60 years old aint the same as brand new rust free cars

o back on topic,at least from what i can see of the show car it doesn t have the Super "gay "osbourne stickers and graphics going down the side.Looks like that guy put alot of effort into his car, looks ok to me,not my style but i respect the work that has gone into it.Differant strokes for differant folks.

that was sarcastic, simply noting how if someone does some custom stuff to one type of car its ok, but on others its not.like the hot rod was done tastefully for the goal of the project, as was that integra (a show car).

I kinda like that integra. He was obviously trying to make it look like a show car. Why does everybody try and hate "rice". Show cars and ricey cars are like concept cars. They aren't really doing anything except pushing the limits of our imagination and expanding what we can do with the style of cars. The car companies are looking into what custom car owners like in terms of performance and looks. Take the Pontiac Vibe, toyota Matrix, 350Z, etc. Don't hate, all ricers are trying to do is fit in, show car owners are the ones pushing the industry. The integra in the link had tons of enigne mods too.

It's cool for a show car. Not all that bad looking. I'm not too fond of the color matched windshield wipers and cowl...I guess it's a different story when someone buys a completely functional JDM front end, right Brian? Although I do like the JDM front end better...It needs to be admitted that it is still a cosmetic part, and those same people that bash kits for cosmetic reasons need to realize they use similar parts.

That car is not bad looking. I would not label it as "RICE" It is just a nice looking show car. I am very happy that the car does not have Alteezas.
