Default Oil in Intake Mani

Ok, so I pulled the motor out to replace some low end seals and do a wire tuck on my stock 2000 GSR and when I was putting it back together I had a Sheepey built oil catch can sitting there so I said what the hell. I threw it on and now I have a large amount of oil coming through the TB/IM and I have a high bouncing idle. Yes I cleaned the IACV. Could this be a timing issue or is the catch can not doing its job right? I have 2 hoses running to the back of the block with the stock pcv hole freeze plugged and the valve cover has the other 2 lines in the front. The valve cover lines are running to the 2 top bungs on the can. Mind you this car was running fine prior. Is the can too much for the stock compression and just shooting the blow by back up the IM?

Well hmmm who assembled the engine after it was rebuilt and what was done? is it a stock rebuild? sounds like those "low end seals" were not properly assembled and you have massive blow by!

And you say "mind you this car was running fine prior". Prior to what?, before the engine rebuild?

Or did you have the car running fine after the rebuild then put on the catch can and found this issue?

Did you do a comp test and leak down test?

Start with putting back the oem pcv system you dont seem to of even needed it then do those test and go from there.

the engine was never opened up I literally just took it out of the car and placed it back in. The only mod that was done to it was the removal of the charcoal canister and stock pcv system. Then the catch can install, I'm more than likely going to put the pcv system back on and remove the catch can but can the catch can be too large for the stock engine??? Since I see no other reason I would have puddles of oil in the IM.

Yes you dont need it, its a reason why the engineers at Honda desighned the oem PCV system for the stock designed engine. When you have a built engine thats modified for racing and it has high comp or its got boost psi creating excessive crank case presure in which the oem PCV system no longer can handle you need to vent the engine more efficient using a aftermarket catch can system.
