Default d16a6 block possibly bad

Reading 0 on oil pressure test. I've already done the head gasket and timing belt on it and have basically a rebuild kit worth of gaskets. Wondering if I should bother with doing a oil pump and checking my pressure from there with maybe some thicker oil (my oil in it is brand new, so I can test with what I have reused and/or buy new thicker oil) and retest pressure and work from there and maybe rebuild, buy a compatible block with the a6 head, or just wait, save and buy a swap. The cluster is reading 106k'ish but I just recently got it(with blown head gasket) the budget is tight and I will need to get a job, THEN start saving.
EDIT and my original question was going to be what blocks are compatible and best option. It's a daily. The only reason I say compatible and not a6 because they're not the easiest to Come across.

88-95 d series oil pumps will interchange with your engine. i would NOT keep using the vehicle if theres no oil pressure at idle, you'll just trash the bearings.

I haven't used it since I did the head gasket and the oil light was still on. And the test is saying 0 all the time but the light goes off with any bit of rev. I was just wondering if it'll even be worth it. But I'm thinking about just rebuilding for reliability. About to look into an oil pump and bearings now.

rebuilding will be much more reliable than an unknown used engine.
