HELP! CAR WONT GO OVER 3,000 RPM
i drove into a deep puddle and got stuck the passenger side water came inside car. i took everything out inside dryed it out INCLUDING BOTH COMPUTERS one had water inside..had water in tranny fliud and oil. i replaced starter, tranny fliud, oil, filter, vtec solenoid valve ,maf sensor and air filter. it seems to shift thru gears.but once i get almost to 3,000 rpms it jerks and wont accelerate anymore. i have to accelerate real slow go get to hw speeds. i can do 80mphs. I was told its in limp home mode. Bad ecm mabe.

Have you cleared the code since you did the work?
If yes and it comes back, you really need to start testing before just throwing parts at it. Yes, the PCM could be bad but this could be a wire issue as well.

Sounds like a wire could be loose on the solenoid. I had an issue when I did a swap in a 99 accord with a JDM motor. The solenoid on the oem has two plugs and the JDM has only one. I just switched them out and plugged it in. It still did it. Come to find out I didn't push the plug all the way in.
Possible causes
- Check engine oil level and pressure
- Faulty VTEC Solenoid Valve
- VTEC Solenoid Valve harness is open or shorted
- VTEC Solenoid Valve circuit poor electrical connection
