Differences of different market DC2 Integras
Hey, I'm new to the forum and in need of some help/advice!
The story is simple - I own a 1998 DC2 Honda Integra Type R. I got the car from my father, who, quite frankly, doesn't appreciate the car and hasn't taken care of it. So after some years of rusting and fighting the rust, I have given up the fight. Now I have an idea to buy the shell of an another Integra and replace it with mine.
The problem is - currently I have found only JDM shells, but I own a EUDM Integra (the bug eyed).
According to this link - http://www.integratyper.org/specs/master_comparison.htm there is a small difference in lenght of the car - 20 mm, has anybody got an idea what could it be? If it's the bumpers, then it's not a problem, but if it's something else. Then I have to find an EDM shell. What other problems could I run into chosing the JDM shell?
If I will find the shell I will keep you updated on the project!
Thanks in advance!

I've never heard of this before, but if there really was a 20mm difference it would have to be the front end. I'm pretty sure the chassis is identical in all markets other than the radiator support and front end (which are interchangeable between markets by simply changing the radiator support or even just the T bracket.). Even if they weren't the same, every single part that you could remove and bolt onto another chassis is interchangeable. The doors are the same, sideskirts are the same.. bumpers, hatches, suspension, glass, etc.. So even if there was some crazy unknown difference in length elsewhere in the chassis (which I highly doubt) it really wouldn't matter. Buy any shell you want and swap whatever parts you'd like and you should have no issues.
I'm semi lost as to your dilemma. Which Honda Integra type R do you own? Also which shell are you trying to purchase?? And you're trying to buy another Integra, or an Integra type R? Where are you located as well?
I own a 1998 European Domestic Market Honda Integra Type R DC2 and I'm thinking or purchasing an 1997 JDM Type R shell.
I am located in Latvia (Europe), so basically I will have to ship it here, from UK or somewhere else. Currently I have the best luck of finding the shells in the UK. Most of them are JDM and it seems that the UKDM version is a bit different ( the height is 15 mm bigger).
I will try to look for an EDM shell, but those seem to be hard to find.
So if I buy the JDM, the only problem should be to change the front? I know that a lot of people want to convert the Bug eye version to the JDM front. Is it hard to do vice-versa? Better do some research on the conversion!

if its a genuine DC2R shell then its all the same. JDM front end is little longer in length than the bug eye front end. Since the JDM shell has the jdm rad support, you just need to buy the fenders, bumper, hood/latch, headlights, front grill, bumper support, and rebar.
