I have a 96 civic with 235k miles on it, and I'm debating on wether to do what I want to it, (spend a couple thousand on peformance parts, and body kits and wheels), or get rid of it. It drives great, it's an automatic though which sucks but it has the D16y8 engine in it, which is fast, very fast. I replaced the spark plugs with NKG Iridiuim IXs and that caused the engine light to come on. It's an O2 sensor code, I can't notice an issues with anything else, runs great, great gas mileage, and other than today some mist started coming out of my air vents, odorless but it was really cold, I think it was freon. Also the front end rattles when in reverse or when Idiling after the engine gets hot.

I'm just worried if I put all the money into the car if it would be worth it with the high mileage. Let me know what you think!!

mileage won't matter, that engine and slushbox would need to go. avoid bodykits.

With it, you should be able to get a pretty solid idea of just what you can do with the car and get a solid idea if you want to mod it or not.

After that you can come back to the technical forum with any specific technical questions that you can't answer with google and the faq.
