Default My Civic EJ9 doesn't start - immobiliser problem?

Hello everyone. I own an EDM Civic EJ9, and suddenly it refused to start. When I turn the key, then the green key light is flashing on a dashboard, and car won't start. You can better see the problem on this video:
Any suggestions?

You will need to reprogram with the red key. If you dont have it you'll have to take it to your dealership.

I have the red key. Can I reprogram it myself? Can you explain me what really happened? Is it problem from the key side, or the immobilizer side?

So go ahead and reprogram it. I'm not sure of the procedure but its A DAMN GOOD THING that you have that red key or else the dealer will rape you. It could be an issue with the key-ring. If reprogramming it doesn't work than diagnosing should be next on the list.

It looks like the dealer will have to handle this. So I suggest you take it in for diagnose.

edit: adding more info on red key programming so you can understand why only the honda dealership can do this.

But the general rule of the red key is that it can't be used, otherwise it will clear immo's memory and it generates a much bigger costs to fix this. So I'm a little bit afraid to put that red key in my ignition.

Ok, I've read that, thank you. So, will I need to take my car to the authorised honda dealership, or just go there with the keys?

Um....you need the car there too, they need to program the ecu. The ecu is where you immobilizer is located.

The transponder chip is not the problem, the system "sees" it, but somehow doesn't recognize it.

Your immobilizer light is still blinking, means the key is not recognized.
