94 accord lx Cranks over but wont start

94 accord lx Cranks over but wont start
Have a automatic, boyfriend was driving pulled up to a red light and the car quietly died. Would crank over but would not start at all. 
Read on a forum where it could be the ignition switch. But I figured I would ask you guys!
After letting it sit for a couple minuets it started but as we drove home, it would cut out in and out while driving. Had to have it towed home
Any Ideas? Ask me if you need more info. This is the only car I have so I need it up and running ASAP...... HELP A GIRL OUT
