CORRECT manual trans fluid 95 accord?
Hey guys, just finished helping my buddy put a new f22b in his 95 Accord Ex coupe, and wondering what is the best or CORRECT fluid for his manual transmission.
His haynes manual said 10w30 or 10w40 motor oil, so we put in 2 qts of Castrol 10w40 for the time being. We drained and refilled every fluid in the car, and plan to re-drain and refill every fluid in about 150 miles and wondering what the correct or best fluid is for his manual transmission.
IS 10w30/10w40 motor oil the CORRECT fluid for his 95 accord man trans or is there a better fluid for this application? Thanks guys!

Honda MTF is a better choice. It was designed something around that time so some of the earlier 94-95 manuals say to use 10w-30. However, the MTF is the better fluid if you can get your hands on it.

Atf in the manual transmission?
Is the Honda mtf more like 75w90 gear oil, or more like 10w30 motor oil? Syncromesh?
I see in the Haynes manual it says 10w30 or 10w40 for 94-95 and Honda MTF for 96+ Accords.
