So I through these plugs in from my last stock h22 with maybe 8k on them and then I did my warm ups ign. Timing then replaced the break in oil. Pulled these from just doing some round abouts of the block nice and easy turned the car off. I kno your suppose to do a wot and just straight off but for obvious reasons I would rather do that at the dyno. What you guys think?
I did throw a half a bottle of octane boost into a full tank just for safety sakes until the tune, after some research of my plug colors this might be the reason for the rusted color I "read" but after some cleaning I got to some like flat gray stuff and from what I read that is good to so, idk it all seems good enough to be putting to the dyno in a couple days.
Don't put any octane booster in your tank before your tune. You want to have it tuned on the exact fuel you will be using in the car. It is also a good idea to bring a few sets of brand new spark plugs with the right heat range to your tuning appointment. You should drive the car as little as possible until it is properly tuned.
Ya all of what you said is being done, except I'm trying to run the engine as little as possible till tune so the half bottle is just going to have to fly with the tune. I'm gonna text tom. and see what plugs he recommends. Here on Oahu we only have 92 oct. adn how do I know what the right heat range is, if I haven't tuned it yet?
