Hello Everyone,

What's up all. I am a new member and have two new toys. First up is my 90 rex with a D16z6 vtec, and new to my collection is the 99 lude i just bought. Being a newbie when it comes to hondas and broke like most the people in America, I am having to do all my own work to them. I have minimal mechanic skills but with a little instruction and research I am definitely able to do most of what I can(excluding internals).
Anyways, I have been reading through a lot of threads and this is a very helpful community. Okay back to my main point. I am having a misfire problem in my 99 lude. I pull cyl 1 and no drop in idle it has spark but it's not a strong spark(bright blue) it's more of a weak reddish color. The car was running fine for about a weak, then all of a sudden it would sputter and lose power. I plugged up at a auto parts store and it was throwing p0420 and p1399. I have replaced the egr and car was doing fine for a day then the same sputtering came back. that's when i checked for spark and found what i stated about. Any ideas on what I should go about doing first? Like I stated, i am definitely not a mechanic but with proper guidance I can get it done myself at home. I know this was supposed to be an Introduction thread, so sorry for going into my problem on this thread and I will start a different thread about my issue with my car. Again, Thanks for having me. I know this honda-tech community will help me get my cars where they need to be.
