I will be buying a 97 ex from my buddy for 500$ and was wondering if the AC was compatible between that and a 94 dx? Also, if all the power stuff could be put onto the dx? Also what would be better a d15b7 with a y8 head or the d16y8 complete?

 

Where are these power options coming off of? The 97 ex?

 

Yes all the parts will be coming off the 97 ex and will be going onto the 94 dx. The reason I am swapping is because I am going to make the dx my daily driver, since the ex is better track potential. I currently have no AC (compressor blew up) and no power options on my dx.

 

Than the answer is "No it will not work".

A/C? Maybe, I say that because the design is similar. Power options? Definite NO.

 

Okay thank you! What about the engine package? I know I can put the d16y8 head onto my d15b7 but what about the opposite will the b7 head work on the y8?

 

I am going to out on a limb here but I believe the d series ac compressor is the same for 94-00 so you maybe could just replace compressor on your existing system. Caveat being the old compressor littered the system with metal shards

 

Well when the AC compressor blew up on me, I didn't have the money to replace it. So, instead I took out all the AC components that are in the engine bay. I just talked to my dad to see if he still has my parts but he said he threw it all away.
