Default Help with Replacing the Ignition Switch

I couldn't find answer to how to remove the black strap holding switch to the column.

I've removed the shear head bolts, so switch is loose from column, but there is still a wide black strap below the switch, hindering switch removal. Can't figure how how to detach it, & didn't want to break it. I edited an internet pic that shows the strap already removed, & sketched in where my strap is still fastened.

Anyone knows how this strap comes off?
Car is a '93 Civic DX.

Added pic of strap on my car. Hope someone can give me some pointers on how to unfasten it. Like the shear bolts, it's probably easy once you know how.

FSM says the ribbon cable connector is below the steering column bracket which I believe is the square metal bracket in your pictures. Is should be below that that you should see where the ribbon cable plugs into.

Thanks Tomcat. I had 1st been thinking the ribbon cable would disconnect from directly below the steering wheel; it doesn't. Your info & a bit more searching showed me the ribbon cable disconnects near the square bracket you mentioned. There is a yellow connector that has 2 blue clips that hold the connector to the bracket. To get access to the blue clips, I had to remove the metal bracket below the dash. This also let the steering column lean down a bit more to get access to the shear bolt area above. Disconnected the blue clips, then disconnected the yellow ribbon cable plug. After that it was a piece of cake getting the ignition switch removed/replaced.

Now ignition works like new again, & doesn't randomly shut off while driving car. That was dangerous, & reminded me about the recent GM ignition switch shut-off issue.
