Default Swapping B18B1 into GSR shell

Hello guys, I'm sure this question has been asked before.. However I did a quick search for it and had no luck.

Anyways I have a 98 gsr that threw a rod through the block, besides my 07 gixxer this is my only transportation. So I need to get this back on the road ASAP. I plan to find another C1 and return the car back to a true GSR, but for now the LS will have to do.

Found a sweet deal on a complete LS longblock, so I'm going to be swapping in a b18b1 out of a 99 LS.

I've done a couple swaps over the years, but it's been awhile. I just want to make sure I'm not going to run into any "Surprises".

The engine I'm dropping in still has the engine harness and ECU. However this is an OBD2B engine where the current setup is OB2A (correct me if I'm wrong?)

What will be my best bet for doing the swap? Will there being any issues with me using the B1 engine harness and the existing GSR cabin harness?

Thanks guys, I really appreciate this.

use the gsr harness, everything will work, just dont utilize the vtec plugs. And use an obd2a ls ecu

did the same thing with my obd1 gsr car, with obd1 ecu.

They are both OBD2A, integra OBD2A was 96-99 and OBD2B was 00-01. Just reuse your harness and leave the unused plugs to the side (knock, vtec, iab). The rest should plug and play. You will probably have to reuse you exhaust manifold as the B1 may be a bit longer

More than likely, you will throw a CEL for CKF (Crank Fluctuation Sensor). My brother's old Integra had this because the car was a GSR body w/ a LS swap as well.

Here's the fix for it:

Ohh.. I thought it was the same for the integra as it was for the civic (96-98)?
Thanks for the help guys! I really appreciate it.

I kind of thought this would be the best option, but needed to make sure I didn't overlook something simple.

Thanks again!
