Default 93 hatch "rally" build

found a pretty "clean" 1993 hatch shell off CL. Ive always wanted to build a "rally" geared civic. it will just have a mini me from my other civic. which is now the parts car to put this shell back together.

p.s. hope this is in the right section.

those headlights have to go. the only spot of rust is in the pas side wheel well. ill be fixing that and repainting the car. im thinking a darker gray color.

not sure how much ill share on here. im a pretty busy person.

You can always take pics as you go, and come back much later and document it up in small bite size pieces that fit your schedule.

It's not like this thread, or the forums or even the site is going anywhere.

That's the one thing that is present regardless of anything else, and that is time.

Cheers.

Yea i dont see this forum going any place. ha

i think i may just find a low miles d16z6 instead of the mini me.
has anyone on here posted up a way to lift there civic an inch or so? i have a few ideas but id rather not waste money on something that someone has tried that didnt work.

I would think adjustable coil overs would do this just fine. I think the issue my lie in shocks that work well with the additional extension.

i was thinking id modify the stock strut top with longer bolts/studs and make some spacers. or get those adjustable coil seats and use stock coils in the stock strut assembly and just have a stiffer preload.

I believe they makes spacers like that for the CRV already. Might want to investigate to see if the top hats are interchangeable. If they are you can just buy those directly and focus on something else (or make them if it's cheaper).

I'll see if I can find the link for you...

EDIT: Not what I originally found before but this is the same basic concept.

car is home. did some work on it today. have alot to do. i think the driver window is not for this car. do the coupes have a different size/shape window? do i need the knock sensor with a p28. also is that the signal yellow/red wire?

what is the bolt size to bolt the engine to the trans?

The glass is the same for both the coupe and the hatch, the whole door is to my knowledge.
