how badly do i need this ring?

doesnt appear to be on my passenger side knuckle which might be a 96 in which case
i dont need it. but it looks like it isnt built in like the 96. wil its absence lead to badness? :hmmm:

Its just a dust deal for the wheel bearing. I'd put it on but it'd only take me 5 minutes with power tools to get to the back of the knuckle. Nothing will fall off while you're driving down the road it may let grit and dirt get into he bearing easier though.
If it is in fact a 96 it's built into the axle I believe.

right it's built in. the ring's only $8 so i'll have it on hand just in case
when i swap out the axle soon. (chasing a high speed vibe that i cant
seem to solve, the other usual suspects have been eliminated).
