2005 Odyssey Valve Cover & Fuse 40
Hello,
My 05 has reached a point where many things need repair and I need to take care of them myself to avoid the hefty charges. Can anyone give me any tips on valve cover replacement? Also should I replace/clean injectors at the same time. I am learning these things as I do them. I fixed sliding door that wasn't working and I replaced my spark plugs.
I also have an issue with fuse 40 that handles interior lights, door locks and radio. It drains the battery when the fuse is in. I have to drive around with the fuse out which means manually locking everything and no radio. I think it is a ground wire, but maybe someone here has experienced it.
thanks

A ground only completes the circuit for the load which is drawing current. In one form or another, a switch is allowing a load to operate continuously. Parasitic draws can be time consuming.
These days gasoline is very pure, as long as you aren't going to a rotten Robby. And the engines run very efficiently. Typically, a Honda will never need fuel injector cleaners. Hocus pocus, really. Snake oil.
As far as the valve cover gasket goes, it's pretty straight forward. As long as you use a high quality gasket you don't need any sealant. If you're going to replace these gaskets, it is a perfect time to perform a valve adjustment, if you're confident enough.

Thanks for your reply. I guess I will leave the injectors alone. No clue how to do that valve adjustment, but I would like to do it at the same time. I guess I will do some research on it.
